26.09.2023 Dörken Days China return for the first time since 2020

For the first time since 2020, the DÖRKEN Days took place in China. As a leading metal coating company, DÖRKEN brought the latest updates on European policy trends concerning PFAS, introduced the release of multiple new products, and provided a platform for guests from the whole supply chain to share their technology. 

The GM of Dörken and the leader of the China Surface Treatment Engineering Association opened the DÖRKEN Days with their welcoming speech and facts to the industry followed by presentations analyzing the current topics related to surface treatment.

The fastener responsible person from Xpeng, Mr. Ping Lu, confirmed how important the testing of corrosion protection in the whole vehicle is. The GM of Victory, Haiqing Shen, introduced their new developed coating equipment. Also, our cooperative partner Walther Pilot has introduced Walther Pilot’s and Dörken’s joint spray gun which solve the paint point of precise coating in application.

The event served as a bridge connecting the upstream and downstream of the industry, providing opportunities for cooperation and negotiation for integrated supply chains of main OEMs, parts producer, coating factories, and equipment manufactures. With the joint efforts and trust of customers, DÖRKEN’s portfolio of services is also constantly expanding.

FACE to FACE social after three years
A pleasant dinner promoted knowledge exchange and network opportunities. In a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere, participants not only obtained comprehensive industry information, but also communicated face-to-face with customers throughout the entire supply chain. The dinner provided room for opportunities for future cooperation.

Automobile is not only CAR but CULTURE
As second part of the DÖRKEN Days the Shanghai Automobile Museum was visited. Cars older than a century as well as modern cars are displayed in the museum.  Antique cars could not have survived without the protection of coatings. After that, the “DÖRKEN Karting Race” was held on a F1 karting track. It is 1.2 kilometers long and is the largest outdoor karting track in Shanghai. Due to many and difficult turns on the track, it is equally renowned as the F1 race track.

In summary, during the DÖRKEN Days China 2023 a total of 166 participants were involved on the first day event. The organizers received high praises for the successful event. After three years, DÖRKEN left a deep impression of the new face with Chinese logo “德艾科”.
